The mechanism is straightforward: thousands of microscopic, controlled punctures trigger your skin's natural wound-healing response. Within hours, fibroblasts (the cells responsible for skin structure) are activated to produce new collagen and elastin. Over the following 4 to 8 weeks, the treated area visibly improves — finer texture, smaller pores, faded acne scarring, brighter tone — as that fresh collagen matures.
